Maple Tree Square's also getting a $20-25 million glow-up. Gastown's officially going people-first. Are you ready to hang out in Gastown this summer?
Two friends who went to elementary AND high school together reunited after 10+ years. They ran into eachother downtown and reconnected. When they met up, it was just like old times. Two UBC Thunderbirds players brought the sport back to the North Shore Saturday, organizing a six-team tournament. They're already planning next winter: a full season across B.C. mountains. What do you think Vancouver? Are you going yearround — summers at the beach, winters in the mountains?

You know what feels good? Getting to work faster. TransLink just fast-tracked the R2 RapidBus extension connecting the North Shore to Metrotown, launching in September instead of December. Buses will pull up every 6-7 minutes during peak hours. Direct connection from Park Royal to Metrotown means no more transfer at Phibbs Exchange. Bigger 60-foot buses, new stops in Burnaby, and all-day service seven days a week. Over 14,000 daily trips use this corridor, so I'm chalking this up as a semi-rare Translink W.
